It was fun, and it was nice just to be able to get away from my house for a while. We spent a few days just watching movies and playing video games. We got Amanda and Seto to play Left 4 Dead 2 with us online. I don't normally play FPS games, but I enjoyed it anyway. We went to see the Sherlock Holmes sequel in theaters, which was pretty good. I liked it better than the first movie.
Yesterday we went paintballing. I've never gone before, so it was somewhat adventurous for me. :P I enjoyed it, despite the residual pain I'm feeling from it today. XD Everything is sore, and the worst of the bruises where I got hit is about the diameter of a golf ball. Still, I'd want to go again if I ever have the chance (and people to go with). We got to try out a few different fields. One was a mostly open field with some wooden platforms and barrels to use for cover. The second was a larger area that was entirely wooded, and that was my favorite. The third had inflatable shapes scattered through the field. There were seven of us playing together, and most of us were beginners. I managed to hit a couple people, so that made me happy. I was a bit worried that I would be terrible and not able to get anyone. The game was a bit slow at first, but we all got better at it as time went on. We ended up spending about 4-5 hours there just playing.
I was supposed to go back home yesterday, but after paintball I was so exhausted that I ended up staying an extra night. Since I was in town, I ended up visiting VL. I talked with Phil, Darlene, Jo Anne, and some of some of my classmates who were in FIEA. It was really nice to see them again, but a little depressing to have to tell them that nothing new or remarkable has happened since I graduated several months ago. Oh well. :/
All in all, it was a nice visit.
But now I'm back home, and tomorrow I'm going to start looking for jobs around town... I seriously need to move out. I still want to find a job in rigging, but for all I know that could take another 6 months, so I need to do something... If I can find anything that pays enough to let me get out of this house, I can settle for that temporarily.
